Part of the Your Everyday Project, this painting depicts a warm, glowing sunrise in Truro, Nova Scotia. I was so excited to paint this image because it made me instantly think of the Halloween classic movie, Hocus Pocus. The old-style homes, the bare trees and those warm colours in the sky create a striking composition. The large tree commands attention as all of its bare branches stretch across the sky. Thanks to Lindsay Gloade-Raining Bird for permitting me to paint it.
Framed in an oak floating frame, the natural finish really allows the colours to pop. This larger piece will be an eye catcher for sure.
