Part of the Your Everyday Project, this painting depicts a warm, glowing sunrise in Truro, Nova Scotia. I was so excited to paint this image because it made me instantly think of the Halloween classic movie, Hocus Pocus. The old-style homes, the bare trees and those warm colours in the sky create a striking composition. The large tree commands attention as all of its bare branches stretch across the sky. Thanks to Lindsay Gloade-Raining Bird for permitting me to paint it.
