From the Your Everyday Project, this piece entitled “Bubblegum Sunrise” captures a bright, warm sunrise in an urban neighbourhood. The contrast between the intense brightness of sky along the horizon and the cool shadows of the houses truly adds to the drama that helps to pull the viewer in. As if I needed more proof of why I love painting snow so much, this piece demonstrates how snow reflects the light around it and the pink ground demonstrates this perfectly.
